The Second Storie Indie Market was a great time!

So in the past week I've reflected on the Indie Market I did last Saturday and Sunday in Rochester- and I have to say I had a lot of fun! I met a lot of great designers who are super kind and very professional. Made some new friends and networked a bit at the same time - what fun!

I've put up some pictures of my work from the show and the next time you can see my work will be on December 20th at the Western New York Book Arts Collaborative "Last Minute Gift Buying Panic Marketplace" in the heart of Buffalo, New York. Come check it out and buy handmade for Christmas this year!

Gocco Prints!

So today I did my first Gocco Print! Here it is:

new designs...

Here are some new designs (not final designs, they are still in progress so they are more at sketch stage right now. )

The snow has arrived!

So despite seeing any snow here in the metro - the southtowns have begun to get a lot of snow! I'm still waiting. Here is a new pillow, dedicated to the snow I have yet to see.

The Owl Pillow too....

I never posted finished pictures of the owl pillow - the owl I've come to name "Otis." So here they are:

The Finished Peacock Pillow!

Here it is! I got my sewing machine tonight- so guess what the first thing I did was! That's right, finished the pillow!

One word. Brilliant.

So this morning as I was playing nomad to the internet world, I found Margaux Lange. She creates beautiful jewelry using Barbie™ doll parts. I'm in love everything she makes. Intelligent and artful, way to go!

Here is what she had to say about these works, "Barbie™ was immensely important in fueling my creative life as a child, and ironically continues to be such for me as an adult. My "Plastic Body Series" jewelry stems from a desire to re-purpose common materials in combination with metals."
