Crow Paper Patterns!

So I've been inspired by these pesky crows that seem to arrive in the city of Buffalo in Autumn and live in our dead trees through the winter until Spring. They are very noisy - and at a thousand deafening "caws" per second, you'd be irritated too! New York State has actually passed a law that allows you to kill these birds, because they are the number one bird breed to carry disease and the bird flu and are pesky with their nasty demeanor and loud noises. Anyhow, they inspired me a bit, so I drew one. Then played around with it to create a dizzying pattern or two! Fun with crows, take one! Click on the image to see it in full scale and detail!

So lately, I have been fairly productive. I finished my high priority goals, etc., started coming up with new production ideas for my designs, and feel like am beginning to spiral upward into an all new creative level. I have been drawing again and even started taking photos - for the sake of actually trying to take better photos with good composition and different angles. Let's get one straight - I am certainly not a photographer! However, a little practice never hurt anybody! I am planning to get into printmaking this winter...
So let's talk about the drawings... I've done {a} few so far this year. I think I was stuck drudging through some creative quick sand, but I'm out now.
My Illustrative Style:
1. A LOT of detail.

I guess a list cannot support a vision. So pictures will have to do. Here is a small taste of my latest. Remember: I am just getting back into it! Better, more completed drawings to follow!
My plan:
Products for the home with my designs... Fun and Modern. Just be patient, as prototypes of these items will be posted soon! In the meantime, enjoy pictures I post of my work and progressions I make in drawings and designs!
P.S. "Ruth" is my middle name!
