Still working on the peacock pillow! Prints to follow?

So I had this drawing of the peacocks and now I think I'm going to keep working on it for a print or two. I've been working on the pillow - and picked up some beautiful gold and silver metallic fabric paint to add just slight touches of color to the work in progress. THE PAINT IS AMAZING. It's not too bold or gaudy and it has these gorgeous rainbow pin-point sized specks in it! Just enough! I love it! Plus, it paints on smooth with no clumps. Anyway, so I added those touches and sewed the drawings onto the pillow this time... the pictures below are of the progress so far. I have yet to sew the front and back of the pillow together - so if it looks wrinkled or strange, that's why!

My new sewing machine!

Say hello to my new Brother sewing machine! It's computerized and regularly sells for over $160.00. Thanks to ebay, I got mine for only $85.00! This is really going to help me in the upcoming weeks. Time to speed up this process! I can't wait to get it in a week and play around with it. Hopefully, I can remember how to use one.

The Peacock ... destroyed!

Here are some pictures for you to see of my peacock pillow I'm currently having fun working on... I'm trying something different with this one... A lighter material with the drawing on it, over the darker base fabric for the pillow cover. It'll have a more rugged and ruffled in terms of feathers (!) cut and sewn look between the two materials - but with the drawings over them will give a purposeful, pretty edge. We'll see if this works out the way I'm hoping it will. Take a look...
