So, I was thinking this weekend and getting a lot done. It's only 7 days past the last show and I'm happy I've gotten 10+ pillows done so far this weekend. I did the owl hand drawing on 5 of them and Gocco'd YES! Gocco'd 5 or 6 as well! I had purchased 4 fabric screens, which are strange because they are huge, like two, and you can move them down and burn again on the same screen. Along with the fabric paint I bought in black and red, I made some new hummingbird pillows to start selling on the 20th. I was thinking that since people are going to want something for the spring and not just the winter, a hummingbird design could play that role... I can't seem to get the owl print to come out well with the Gocco, so I will have to keep that the hand drawn design. P.S. you don't need a squeegee for your Gocco fabric prints, an old gift/credit card works great and you can cut it for small areas/designs! Here are some pics of what I have done so far this weekend...

In order to prepare for the upcoming marketplace on the 20th of December, I had to purchase more material last night to begin drawing more owl pillows that seemed to be the favorite at the Second Storie Indie Market this past weekend. I will have more than 1 this time for purchasing, I promise! I will also have some new goodies to stock up on as I'm playing with the gocco more!

So in the past week I've reflected on the Indie Market I did last Saturday and Sunday in Rochester- and I have to say I had a lot of fun! I met a lot of great designers who are super kind and very professional. Made some new friends and networked a bit at the same time - what fun!
I've put up some pictures of my work from the show and the next time you can see my work will be on December 20th at the Western New York Book Arts Collaborative "Last Minute Gift Buying Panic Marketplace" in the heart of Buffalo, New York. Come check it out and buy handmade for Christmas this year!
